It’s impossible to talk about Cenzo Townshend without mentioning his love of vintage recording equipment, and his extensive knowledge and collection of classic valve amps, effects and pedals. It’s this obsession with sound that has driven Cenzo to become one of the most talented engineers and producers working in British music today. With over twenty years in the industry, he’s collaborated with artists including U2, Kaiser Chiefs, Editors, Graham Coxon, Babyshambles, Florence and the machine and Snow Patrol. This doesn’t mean that you’ll only hear his influence on major releases - he considers recording with underground artists to be just as important and as a result has shared in the early successes of Late Of The Pier, Mystery Jets, The Courteeners and many others. Cenzo mixes a laid-back approach with experience and hard work to deliver recordings on-time and on-budget that sound exactly how the musicians want. He has an amazing ability to bring ideas to life. Cenzo was awarded Best Mix Engineer for 2009 & 2010 by The Music Producers Guild.
